Glimja set to combine Skrym, Ongoing and Packsize in transformational new warehouse

We are excited to announce our cooperation with Glimja, a trailblazer within health products. Glimja, who recently acquired Happy Green from Bonnier News, are poised to assume a leading market position with their new warehouse in Enköping.

To power the ambition of creating the most sustainable warehouse in the Nordics, Glimja is investing in new technology on both the software and hardware side of logistics.

A new type of warehouse

The warehouse is set to become a state-of-the-art facility combining modern software and hardware. In a brand new integration collaboration between Ongoing, Packsize and Skrym, optimization will be built into the operational processes.

As in any warehouse, one of the big motivations driving this project is to achieve operational efficiency gains. However, the implementation will also achieve reductions in packaging and shipping costs all while decreasing fulfilment-related emissions.

Finding the right balance in doing this would be impossible without the experience and insights of the team at Glimja. With their ambition level and solution-oriented attitude, finding the path forward has been easy at all times.

Introducing new tools

The implementation also will mark the official debut of many of the newest Skrym tools within shipping. These tools have been developed together with customers and partners over the past 8 months.

Our ambition is to introduce the most cost-efficient and data-driven offering available within shipment utility technology for retailers, including for example:

Shipment booking and label printing
Tracking of shipments and delay prediction
Automated controlling of transporter invoices

It is our strong belief that the current solutions available on the market are overpriced and underdeveloped, and we look forward to bringing some fresh air and new ideas into the space.

But if you ask us - the most exciting things are all the opportunities we are discovering for combining these tools to create completely new types of insights for retailers.

3D Optimization already in checkout

Skrym's leading optimization algorithms will power the usage of 3D-adjustable packaging automation machines from Packsize to interface with the logic for shipping options already in the pre-payment stage.

This will enable Glimja to validate the availability, cost and emissions of every delivery choice ahead of time, ensuring that the right options are displayed to the right customer in the right way. And thanks to Packsize, with right-sized boxes for every order.

Already in prepayment, the Skrym Optimization API converts the consumer cart to the most efficient possible way to pack the order using the Packsize automation.

In our view, this is a great example of the value that can be created by bridging the pre- and post-payment stages intelligently. The goal is to effortlessly share the knowledge between website and operations at every point in the order journey.

As the e-commerce segment becomes more saturated and competitive in the coming years, we believe this will separate the wheat from the chaff.

Collaborating for the same goal

Naturally, this could not be achieved on our own - and we are excited to partner up with both Ongoing and Packsize. While we already have a lot of experience from successfully working together with the former, this marks the first collaboration between Skrym and Packsize.
